Metal Electrodes

Metal electrodes are used in electrophysiology, neuroscience, biosensing, and stimulation applications where reliable signal acquisition and precise electrical delivery are essential. This collection includes monopolar, bipolar, concentric, stereotrode, reference, and surface electrode designs in a variety of materials, including tungsten, platinum iridium, stainless steel, pure iridium, and Ag/AgCl.

Available in multiple tip profiles, shaft diameters, lengths, and impedance ranges, these electrodes support applications ranging from single-unit neural recording and differential measurements to electrical stimulation and reference sensing. Whether conducting in vivo or in vitro research, researchers can select from a broad range of electrode configurations to match their experimental requirements.

The collection includes Profile A monopolar electrodes for recording and stimulation, Profile B stereotrode electrodes for differential measurements, and Profile C electrodes with polyimide insulation for targeted recordings. Additional options include concentric bipolar electrodes, Rhodes-style tip configurations, surface electrodes, reference electrodes, and specialty electrode designs. Multiple material choices and dimensional configurations provide flexibility for a wide range of experimental protocols.

For researchers evaluating electrode performance, assortment kits are available with multiple impedance values within a single electrode style. These kits provide a convenient way to compare recording characteristics and determine the optimal electrode configuration for a specific application before selecting individual electrodes.
