Platinum Iridium Electrodes
Platinum iridium electrodes combine the mechanical strength of platinum with the durability and conductivity of iridium, making them well suited for neural recording, electrical stimulation, and other electrophysiology applications where long-term stability and signal fidelity are critical. Their corrosion resistance and biocompatibility make platinum iridium a preferred material for many in vivo and chronic research applications.
This collection includes both Profile A and Profile C platinum iridium electrodes. Profile A electrodes feature a traditional monopolar design and are supplied in packages of ten for recording and stimulation studies. Profile C electrodes incorporate polyimide insulation with a defined exposed tip for targeted recordings and precise signal acquisition. Available in multiple lengths and configurations, these electrodes provide researchers with reliable performance for a wide range of neuroscience and life science experiments.
Platinum iridium profile A electrodes are sold in packages of 10. Profile A metal electrodes look like the image below. A comparison of the platinum iridium profile A electrodes is at the bottom of the page.
