WPI Titanium Forceps with Tying Platform are straight forceps 11.5 cm (4.5") long, and they come with 4 mm, 5 mm or 6 mm tying platforms. Forceps with a tying platform are designed to grasp, and manipulate tissues or objects during surgical procedures. They flat tying platform is near the tips where suture can be tied. This gives you a stable area for suturing or ligating. The slender handles are textured for a firm grip, and the hole patterns in the handle makes the instrument incredibly lightweight. All three sizes are made of titanium, which is 40% lighter than stainless steel. Titanium is 100% non-corrosive, great for researchers doing seawater procedures. Titanium is 100% non-magnetic, making it MRI compatible. The tips also have tungsten carbide inserts for increased gripping power. The anodized, non-glare blue finish is perfect for work under surgical lamps or microscopy applications. These forceps are autoclavable and sterilizable by chemical sterilant.
