Propriety Qualified Deep UV Silica Fiber for Demanding UV Applications-A difference you need to see to believe.
QVLUX-series
WPI's QVLUX-series fiber has been engineered to not only provide superior transmission in the UV but have excellent consistency over length. This makes QVLUX a perfect choice for critical measurements or where "plug-and-play" capaiblity is required without having to recalibrate after a fiber assembly change. Standard silica fiber exhibits a "solarization impact" when transmitting light in the UV below ~280nm. Over time, depending on the optically transmitted power, the fiber's abiltiy to transmit UV light drops off. Our QVLUX fiber offers superior resistance to solarization. The lowest basic attenuation of our solarization resistant fiber is at 200nm (<1 dB/m) and the lowest solarization at 214 nm on the market. WPI is the only companyoffering DIN 58145:2018-01 certified low solarization UV fibers and assemblies.

Qualified proprietary optical fiber is WPI’s most advanced optical fiber product line. Very resistant to UV light down to 185nm DIN 58145:2017-01
Qualified fiber allows for excellent transmission of UV light in long length optical fiber
Resists degradation due to UV exposure better than virtually any optical fibers on the market
Allows for true “plug and play” replacement
Ideal for OEM and applications requiring field service or where multiple instruments must be used for a battery of tests
Includes certificate and data of both UV transmission and induced loss generated by continuous exposure to a 30W deuterium bulb of each fiber material batch from 185-360nm

We provide OEM fiber optic cable, fiber optic assemblies, optical probes, optical flow cells and optical sensors that are designed, manufactured and tested to deliver repeatability from one optical assembly to the next. A trusted partner for reliable optical measurements we offer: Qualified optical fiber for UV Instrumentation products providing pre-defined parameters or end-user specified parameters bifurcated and cross fiber assemblies of different core diameter and fiber length. Customization is also possible. For Y-assemblies and X-assemblies. Liquid Waveguide Capillary Cell (LWCC) with long pathlengths for small sample volumes for FIA, HPLC and process analysis. Fluorescence Probes for the detection of the transient response of free ion concentration. Optical Oxygen Sensor to detect oxygen in living tissues. Our proprietary optical fiber formulation and over 50 years of assembly experience have enabled us to be the only company offering DIN 58145:2018-01 certified low solarization UV fibers and assemblies for the 185 nm to 340 nm spectral range. This allows our OEM partners to obtain repeatability and accuracy from one system to the next. Using our Qualified Optical Fibers overcomes the inherent weakness of a standard optical fiber and offers advantages to designers of optical systems.
