The Senn Retractor is a hand retractor named after the German surgeon August Carl Senn. The Senn retractor lets you gently hold back or retract tissues for better visibility and access to the surgical site. It is commonly used in procedures involving skin, subcutaneous tissues, or superficial muscles. The retractor's blades can be inserted between layers of tissue and gently maneuvered to create the desired exposure. Use it for wound exposure, soft tissue dissection, or orthopedic applications. The two ended handle has both fenestrated and solid blades which are both flat, thin, and curved to facilitate tissue retraction and maneuverability. Choose either blunt or sharp blades. The WPI Senn Retractors are 15.9 cm (6.25") long. They are manufactured from surgical grade stainless steel or premium German steel, both of which are autoclavable. WPI recommends properly cleaning all your surgical instruments promptly after use. This improves the useable lifespan of your surgical tools.
