Barraquer Wire Eye Speculum, Pediatric

Pediatric Barraquer Wire Retractor, also known as a wire speculum or wire lid retractor, are a smaller version of the standard Barraquer Wire Retractor. It is a surgical instrument used in pediatric ophthalmic surgery to hold the eyelids open and maintain exposure during eye procedures. It consists of a thin wire loop or loops that are gently inserted between the eyelids and then expanded to keep the eyelids apart. The wire loops have a curved shape that conforms to the contour of the eyelids, allowing for secure and comfortable placement. This wire retractor give you a clear and unobstructed view of the surgical site, while also preventing unintentional blinking and protecting the eyelids from accidental injury. These retractors have wire blades that are 10 mm and the maximum spread is 25 mm. These wire retractors are manufactured from surgical grade stainless steel. Always clean your surgical instruments as soon as your finish with them. These may be autoclaved or sterilized chemically.
