Cupped Forceps have small (3.5mm), smooth, round cups at the tip, which work well in microdissection, small animal surgery, electronics repair, and some crafts like beading. The tips of these WPI cupped forceps are coated with either Teflon or ceramic, giving you a smooth, non-stick surface to reduce tissue trauma. These tips are low-glare, perfect when you are working under magnification or surgical lights. The coating makes the tips chemically inert, resistant to staining and easy to clean. They are also more resistant to wear. Teflon or ceramic coatings offer electrical insulation, which can be critical during electrosurgery. These cupped forceps are made is Switzerland of surgical grade stainless steel. They are suitable for sterilization via autoclave or chemical sterilant.
Special cupped forceps allow atraumatic gripping of organs and other delicate tissue.
