MetriCide™ OPA Plus is a high-level disinfectant for reprocessing heat-sensitive surgical supplies and medical devices for which sterilization is not suitable when used according to the instructions for use. It is a glutaraldehyde-free solution and can be used manually or in a Class II processor for heat-sensitive devices where an autoclave is too harsh.

Einzelheiten

Designed for both automated and manual instrument re-processing/intermittent sanitization. When used manually, it disinfects within 12 minutes at 20°C and can be reused for up to 30 days (when monitored according to label instructions). This cleaning solution is the longest-lasting high-level disinfectant on the market today.

When used in an automated endoscope re-processor (AER), it disinfects in 5 minutes at 25°C in an AER and can be reused for up to 14 days (when monitored according to label instructions). Features 0.6% ortho-Phthalaldehyde (OPA).

Used in preclinical and clinical laboratory settings, exclusively for the high-level disinfection of heat-sensitive, semi-critical medical and experimental devices that cannot undergo heat sterilization.
